Transportation
Many would say the easiest way into town is by plane. Although this is somewhat true if you live outside Europe, Europeans tend to take another approach and travel to Cap d’Agde by train or even own means of transportation.
Get in
By plane
Cap d’Agde is serviced by the Beziers-Agde Airport, which doesn’t offer many possibilities in terms of flights. Another choice would be the Montpelier Airport, about 60 km NE of Agde. The airport at Montpelier has many international flights as well.
By train
From Paris Gare de Lyon train station, there is a high speed TGV train that goes down to Agde in about 5 hours. You can also use the Eurostar and then transfer to the TGV. By rail from UK, the Eurostar from London Waterloo to Agde takes less than 8 hours.
By car
There are two European routes that pass near Agde, the E15 and E80. The first is a north-south motorway which links northern Scotland with southern Italy. The second one is a west-east road linking Portugal to Turkey.
Get around
There are several ways to get around Cap d’Agde and the neighboring area. Beside walking you can try the local taxi services, or even better the local public transport lines. If neither one suites you then you can always rent a bicycle or even a car.
